 You’re planning a special event, and you need a mobile entertainment service, but which one to choose? There are scores of them listed in the phone book, and like most people, you’ve had little experience in choosing a disc jockey.  An old adage says you must know the questions to make sure you’re getting straight answers.  With that in mind, MOBILE MAGIC MUSIC suggests six questions you should ask each entertainment service you’re considering.

 What type of party experience does your entertainer have?

Many mobile disc jockeys were first club dj’s, where mixing music is the primary concern...not entertaining.  The best announcers, and the busiest, are entertainers, party hosts with personality, stage presence, and the ability to play the right music to keep the party FUN!

 What events are played most frequently by your disc jockey?

Does your announcer most frequently play school parties? Backyard events? Corporate dances?  Wedding receptions? Each of these events attracts different people, and it is important for your disc jockey to have the experience and knowledge to pick the right music for different parties and diverse audiences.

 Will your announcer provide current local references?

The quality of your entertainment service will go a long way in determining the success or failure of your special event.  Check the references of the entertainment company and the disc jockey performing at your event, and make sure that you are supplied with local, and recent references.

  What type of sound equipment will your disc jockey bring?

It should be modern, professional, and powerful enough to meet the needs of your event.  It should also be packaged neatly, so as not to detract from your party’s decorations.

 Will your party announcer play a wide variety of music?

Your disc jockey should bring a wide selection of hits, old and new, contemporary and country, and should respond to your guests requests.  Your announcer should also have the experience to “read the room”...and play the music that keeps your guests dancing and your party FUN!

 Is your mobile disc jockey worth the price you are paying?

If you have ever gone to a party performed by a bargain-basement entertainer, you already know the answer to this question!  You spend time, effort, and money to ensure the success of your event, but if you try to save money by hiring the lowest-priced disc jockey, you and your guests will likely be disappointed.  The dj sets the tone for the whole event, good or bad, and as in most cases...you get what you pay for!
